Local Cultural Resources Digital Archive digitizes issues 1–10 of the regional magazine Yanaka, Nezu, Sendagi (first published by the Yanesen Workshop in 1984) and related materials, produced as part of the Local Cultural Resources Digital Archive project with the cooperation of the Yanesen Workshop and Mayumi Mori. Images, metadata and annotations are openly published (CC BY 4.0).
The upstream site is https://nakamura196.github.io/lda/. Here the same images are served through the IIIF Image API (Cantaloupe), adding deep zoom, region cropping and high-resolution delivery.
Structure of the data
- 446 items in all (
yanesen_XX_XXX); each item carries one page image and its metadata. - On upload each image is converted to a pyramidal TIFF (PTIF) and served as tiles through the IIIF Image API.
- IIIF Presentation manifests (v2/v3) are provided, so external viewers such as Mirador can reference the items.
