A stone statue of the Buddha Vairocana whose robes are carved in fine relief with scenes of the Buddhist cosmos — the Realms of Existence. Made in China during the Northern Qi dynasty (6th century). Though missing its head and hands, the reliefs make it a key work of Buddhist art, famed as the "Cosmic Buddha."
